Sunglasses - Texture or no texture

We visited Carrara Markets yesterday and got some kid sized aviators for Soren. They are way too tight for his pumpkin head, which is funny because he's only 15 months and they should be quite big on him. He's really good and doesn't take them off which makes it a fun thing for him when we're out.
No freebie today sorry!
Do you ever finish a page, look at it an hour later and think 'wow, I could've done that so much better!'

The bulk of this page is just plain white, but I now feel I should've used a textured white paper? What do you think?

Modelling - Mixing it up colourwise

Ava recently had her first ever modelling job for Dessert Please who do the most delicious ruffled nappy covers in different dessert themes. She was dummy dependent most of the time, but the photographer managed to get some fantastic shots.

I have found now I have a daughter I tend to overload the pink in her pages, so my challenge for this page was to make it pretty and girly, but have NO pink.

Keeping in theme with the dessert themed nappy cover she's wearing I went for a chocolate look and accented it with green rather than pinks and pinky purples like I wanted to.

I have included a link to a FREE download of the chocolate hearts.

Do you have to push yourself out of your usual style when digital scrapbooking to keep your books looking fresh?

Rockpools - Playing with Masks

Soren loves the water and Southport Rockpools are a short drive from our home so we try to make it down there as often as possible, he especially loves the cat fish and will climb on their backs to get a ride. We're so lucky to have such an awesome toddlers pool near us.

I have recently been playing with masks I've created from brushes, text and embellishments. Interesting shaped embellishments have been blacked out and turned into shape masks, I've then added text and different brushes to the image to mix it up.

Above is the final result of my most recent experiment with masks and I've included a link to a free download of the grated star embellishment that became a part of my mask, I'd love to see what you can do with it.
